Default The Great Eau Lincolnshire

Withern Mill Trout Farm can give you a half mile stretch of Grayling and wild Brown Trout Fishing for no extra cost to your Day Ticket to our five Trout Lakes.

Finally with the weather starting to settle the river has cleared and the fun of sight fishing can begin. We have had several big Grayling already caught this year but we expect things to be even better in April now the water is more settled. We suggest a selection of small dry flies the best plan of attack for some very rewarding fish lie waiting to be caught. We must remind fishermen that no fish can be taken from the river as they are there for you all to be enjoyed.

For any extra information please call us direct, see attached link.

Do you not have a close season for grayling down there?

We have been stocking the river with some Rainbow Trout so this enables the fishing to continue all year round. We do ask anglers catching Grayling in the spring to pay particular attention to releasing them as quickly as possible.

You shouldn't be actively promoting grayling fishing like this - not only is it illegal, but it's unfairly stressing the fish.

The targeting of Grayling at this time of the year is not promoted, we have stocked fish that anglers are after in the river, we have asked anglers to ensure if a grayling is caught that it is returned with as little discomfort as possible. As a fish farm we are looking at actually stocking our own grayling to the river to encourage future stocks.

You cant have wild trout fishing for STOCKED FISH...and you do condone catching Grayling out of season in the way you worded your post

Spam advertising of this type will win you no favor.......stick to farming fish and leave our rivers alone if you dare to call your stockies 'wild' because they don't have the constraint of a net anymore.
