Default Change of strategy for cormorants?

Our club has been receiving reports from members of a concerning new issue with cormorants.

Further information and photographs are available on the club's website www.paisleyabercornanglingclub.co.nr

Worrying times indeed...

Brilliant!

The Scottish Executive have announced a raft of measures to address what is a growing problem, Alex Salmon outlined the following initiatives:

Hugh Fearnley Whittingstall has been contacted and has agreed to create a number of recipes involving cormorants to feature on one of his TV programmes.

Heston Blumenthal is planning to produce cormorant flavoured ice cream to sell in his restaurants.

Jamie Oliver has already suggested they should be served in school meals due to their low fat content and high concentration of Omega 3 oils (from all the fish they consume). He also plans to start promoting them in his Sainsbury adverts.

Local authorities have already started putting up posters in bus shelters, shopping centres, playgrounds, skateboard parks, etc. advising the local young people that cormorants taste like buckfast and have hallucinogenic properties when eaten.

Fulling Mill have produced a range of fly patterns where cormorant feathers are the magic ingredient. They are however on the lookout for an original name for the pattern as the most obvious one is already gone…

Default Cormorants

Glad you enjoyed the article - was just intended for the club website but thought a few folk on here might enjoy it too.

I think there are a few folk who read it that didn't realise it was 1st April though!

So be careful out there all - the killer cormorants are watching...

Unfortunatly going through the correct chanels on this matter proves to be fruitless and a waste of time , Went up the loch this morning first thing and low and behold there was 2 on the water , Unfortunatly there was a accident and there is only one now .
