Default River Stour (Kent)

I've just joined mid-kent fisheries' beats on the Stour and was wondering whether anyone else fishes this river (or these beats)?

I'll be working overseas until mid April and so won't have a chance to fish it before then. I was just wondering whether any other members fish the river and have any hints or comments to share?

Apparently, it has a run of sea trout which is a major plus.

I have only known one person who has fished it. They loved it and yes there are the occasional sea trout. Small and wild was their view and pretty difficult to fish.

I fish the Teise in mid Kent and I am hoping to get into the Darent Valley this or next year.

I'd swap a day on the Tise for a day on the Stour though.

Carlos - thanks for your post.

I can take a visitor anytime (although mid-kent charge visitors 30 quid - which isn't bad for a day on a chalk stream) and would be happy to take you along for a day.

Feel free to PM me and we can arrange a convenient time.
