Exclamation The EA and the river Evenlode

The Environmental Agency are holding a talk about current and possible future habitat work on the river Evenlode. This is taking place on the 26th April at 7.30 at the Tiddy Hall in Ascot Under Whychwood. All welcome.

I'm afraid that I don't have any real information as to the content of the evening but the EA have recently completed some work on the Evenlode.
Environment Agency - River residents enjoy the ?Evenlode?

The river has been in decline for some time and needs as much help as it can get. There is a population of wild trout (and some talk of grayling) though the river is rarely fished for them.

Cheers

Andy

I know it's bad form etc. but I wanted to bump this thread as a last reminder of this meeting.
The Evenlode is not a renowned trout river and has been in decline for a number of years as a coarse fishery but there is a population of wild trout clinging on and they probably need all the help that they can get.
This meeting is an opportunity to show the EA that there is an angling interest in the river and hopefully encourage further habitat and restoration work.

Cheers

Andy
