My eldest daughter lives in Oakenshaw, Crook and in as much as she intends to make me a grandfather this summer there's every chance that I'll be in the area on a more frequent basis.

Looking at the map, the area around Stanhope looks like it might be interesting and I was wondering if anyone had any experience of the Upper Wear, when it opens and what the early season prospects would be like?

Any information gratefully received.

noel - I received an invite to the AGM today so i guess the renewal letters will be on-route or we can renew at the AGM?

So no members of the club on here then.

Just been to my static at Eastgate and both of the salmon leaps have gone in a flash flood the river level has dropped by a good 5 feet this has ruined the fishing in that area for a long time if not for good

Heck thats bad news I just started fishing the Weardale fly fishers stretch last year, which fish passess have been washed out?

Who is the secretary to this club sent Dingle on here a pm about a month ago and still waiting for reply
