Default brown trout fishing in scotland

Hello chaps,,,really fancing getting into fishing for browns on the rivers this year,,,,Looking for info on what rivers are best,,,best flies to use,,rod size,,line weight etc,,,

Any info would be great,,,p.s heard the clyde to be very good, but what parts? cheers

The bit,s that i know to be good is any where from abingdon to biggar.
in my limited experiance i would say a 10 ft 5/6 weight would be perfect.

More fishing than you can poke a stick at. Get out there and wet a line, best way to learn.
Try, Lets fish the Clyde, by Bert Sharp for a starter on the Clyde.
