I believe the Ure is difficult to get on in the middle reaches around Masham etc (which is where the best of the fishing is). I've had a few good days up on the Hawes AA water - day tickets from three peaks shop - although it is more small stream fishing, and benefits from a little water.

A few years ago I fished the river Ure at Bainbridge. DT's from the pub - Rose & Crown I think. The fishing was super - chock full of trout and grayling - especially the confluence pool with the little river Bain. It is a lovely spot and the pub is tip top.

I know it well, You want to go to East Witton, get your day ticket from the Cover Bridge Inn, you can stay there, B&B 25 quid, good food, it is situated right on the bend where the Cover runs into the Ure, good grayling water, never blanked there yet, fishing on both rivers but the Ure is the better,
I'll go with you when URE ready !!!?
