Default river blythe in hamsall rideware

has anyone on here fished or does fish the river blithe in or around hamstall rideware near to rugeley??. im just wondering if its anygood for fly fishing, looks nice and you can get a cheap day ticket from the fishery.

Hi mate have never fished the Blithe at Ridware but believe there are some decent grayling below Blithfield on the stretch your looking at, non above that ive ever caught or heard of.I fish upstream of the reservoir on a few private stretches, its got some really big browns and chub but the fishings not easy.
There are i think a few day ticket waters around.

Keeping em private for now youth, "loose lips sink ships" Stuff came yesterday glad i went for the bigger boots reckon a 10 would have bin a squeeze.Just need to get out and get em dirty

If you mean the bit thats part of Hamstall Ridware fishery, yes I've fished it - not really suitable for fly fishing - good fun on coarse gear though. Had all sorts, including a few grayling. Its tiny really, and hardly ever fished because people fish the lakes.

Hi, I have fly fished on the Blithe at Hamstall Ridware both summer and winter, I like to fish here, but I do prefer small rivers, it's quiet and challenging. I have caught many grayling here and my best fish here is a grayling of about 14 inches but I have no idea how heavy it was.
