Default Scottish Rivers

How are the rivers fairing up with the heavy rain over the last 24 hours? Some of them must be close to bursting their banks. Good for the migratory fish, shame the fishing is out of bounds now until next March. Got to give the fish some time to spawn I suppose though.

folk need to stop building houses on flood plains and with rivers that run through towns need funding to better the flood prevention schemes...

Agree with you, here is a pic I took at lunchtime today of the don at Kintore Aberdeenshire. The river should only be on my left.

I went for a walk on my local river today with the dog and witnessed 4 anglers blatently fishing for salmon on two different areas on it.. Its a shame that some so called anglers have no respect for the fish or the close season. When i mentioned this to a guy in my local tackle shop i was told that the baliffs are not interested and the illegal anglers will continue fishing as no one is on the river to do anything about it.
