Default Help needed

Been on a river Don (Sheffield) clean-up with a number of volunteers today and I'm asking anyone who is living in the area to get involved. There is some wonderful fishing to be had 'all free' too.... After a pretty casual clean-up morning, some of us had a few hours of Grayling fishing afterwards and prior to that enjoyed John Blewitts catering.... I had already had a couple around 25cm before we started collecting all manner of discarded stuff.. Loads of wild fish and with the help of all the guys are making it a nice place to be...
My session was cut short after I snapped my rod on a snag!!

Please help... see link

Just recieved this email from John this morning....

Hi All

I forgot to mention that an expat from New Zealand sent Sprite a cheque to the tune of £50.00.He said that when he emigrated (70s) the river was a gurgling mess and seeing as he cant help physically he would help with a bit of money. His name is Mike Allen and he lives in Wanaka South Island.

Keep Safe

John

Glad you had some fishing after the cleanup this weekend (a pain that you broke a rod....).
I couldn't make this weekend's cleanup but I noticed on the previous weekend that it took less time to get it tidy than the first time we were down there.

It looks like we might be making a difference - which is encouraging.

Hope to see you and some more forum-ites on the next clean ups.

Hi Paul... I think the majority of big stuff has been dealt with by you guys before I stuck my oar in?? Sad fact is that much of my 3 filled large bin bags were left by anglers!! the 'coarse' fraternity who engage in drinking vast amounts of booze whilst dangling maggots etc... if we can encourage them to take the cans home it will make things better... but yes, things are looking really good now!... let me know when you fancy a day and I'll join you... 50p for the biggest Grayling ok??

Yer on!

P.S. I suppose what i mean about the quicker time taken on clean ups is, in a sense, we at least seem to be taking it out faster than it is going in!

Glad that the alternative is not true at the moment.

Totally busted! Was trying out my french nymphing skills. Had about half a dozen decent grayling directly below the big weir where I saw you. Some trout trying to jump up the centre of the flow too - so they've obviously got the spawning urge.
