Default Bakewell Wye Grayling day - last tickets available

Hi all, Warren has very kindly opened up the Peacock water on the Derbyshire Wye for a grayling fishing day on Sunday November 8th 2009.

Proceeds from the event all go directly to Sheffield's "Trout in the Town" project "SPRITE - Sheffield Partnership: Rivers In Town Environments". This project is already holding regular litter clean ups and has carried out educational programmes in local schools and is working towards providing free angling tuition to local youngsters of all backgrounds.

There are a handful of tickets left - these are available directly from John Blewitt who can be emailed on blackgnat@blueyonder.co.uk or phoned on 01142 330 332

First come, first served.

Rules are (to be confirmed/amended at any time by Warren) -
Strictly no wading
Up to 3 nymphs may be used
ON HOOKING ANY TROUT; the angler is to change position and search for grayling in another spot.

Default Unfortunate clash

Apologies, but a clash with the BFFI means that I cannot attend, no matter how much I would like to.

Hi Paul,

My wife and I would like to go on this Wye Grayling Day. I emailed John about it on the day you posted your message but got no reply yet. Also tried phoning yesterday evening without luck. Do you know how I'd contact him to 'register' for the day?

Just to feedback that the day became fully booked very quickly after my initial post.

Apologies to those who wanted tickets but were unable to get them.

Many thanks for your support though - and please consider SPRITE (contact details as per original postings) and other TINTT projects for small or large donations if you think they are doing a good job.
I have contact details for all my projects covering:

River Erewash (via Trugg!)
Glazert Water (Lennoxtown/Glasgow)
River Don (Sheffield)
River Goyt (Disley/New Mills)
River Wandle
River Cray
River Colne (East Lancashire)
Huddersfield Greenstreams project

A number of these schemes have won sizeable grants to support their work and currently, ones that would especially benefit from individual donations include:

River Don
River Erewash
Glazert Water (early stage project)

Thanks for your interest

Paul

My own ticket (that I have paid for already) has come up for grabs and is available to the first person who PMs me with their request and either
1.) A donation of £10 to SPRITE
OR
2.) Completion of a WTT membership form if not already a member

Just to update and advise that (subject to donation cheque receipt!) the last ticket has been claimed.

If you're within striking distance of Sheffield, please consider joining SPRITE (its free) and you'll get first notification and invitations to similar events in the future. Contact John Blewitt on blackgnat@blueyonder.co.uk for details.
