Which Avon. there are a few. if it's the tributary of the Clyde. I fished it for grayling a long time ago and caught a few.

Jim, have you fished it at all recently? Was meaning to have a cast through this season but never got round to it.

Hi, I live 5 mins from the river Avon and reguraly fish it for trout and grayling. It is a great wee river with good fly life and good heads of fish. Me and my mate have had trout to 5 lb and grayling to 2lb. I have also seen a massive 9lb trout getting caught. Well worth a try

I also live next to the Avon.

I used to fish it for Grayling when i was younger but now i can travel i head up north for the ladies.
May be i should just stick to the Avon as i have had some nice fish over the years but the grass is allways greener.

If i was heading out on the Avon for Grayling i would probably head up to Stonehouse and above Glasford bridge at Glasford.
Easy parking at both locations.

If you need anymore info pm.

Good luck.

It's all good but easier access from the Larkhall and Hamilton side.
