Further to my post above, does anybody on here fish the cam at Audley End/Saffron Walden? Could anyone comment on the fishing?

Cheers

James

I am afraid Lord Geoff is not a forumite.
He will be round to see me in a fortnight and will pick his brains then.
Re your PMs on this forum you need 15 posts to use the facility.

Default The Audley Fly Fishing Club

I've fished it a few times and the waters clear coming off the chalk, best fish last season was a 19 inch plus c. 3 pounder which took a size 16 kites imperial.

It narrow and 7ft or less rod is ideal and as the season progresses the vegetation gets high, so jungle warfare skills become necessary. There is c. 4 miles of fishing and its about £175 for a season ticket, though there may be a short waiting list.

Best wishes

David
