Many thanks for all your kind words and messages folks.

That was a hard competition, physically (mainly) and mentally. I feel like I've been steam-rollered a few times. Thought perhaps I might be getting a little old for this game... then I saw that Ian Greenwood made it through into the team again, so now I know I've got another thirty odd years in me!

Well done to all the other lads who qualified, especially to Bernie who made it into the reserve spot. And major commiserations to Andy (Calder Junky) who would have made the England team at his first attempt with just one fish in the third session...
