Default River fishing near grasmere

We are going on holiday in September and have 4 days in Grasmere, although we plan to spend most of it walking, I hope to escape for a few hours fishing. Can anybody point me in the direction of some small stream fishing in the area.

Regards

Peter

The WADAA web site http://www.sodointernet.co.uk has plenty of information. I've only fished Grasmere for pike / perch when I've been there, but you can fish the River Rothay for trout. I'm also there in a couple of weeks so I may try the Rothay. See

Thanks guys, Wharfe is a bit far away (but might be worth a visit during our stay in the Dales the week before we go to Grasmere.) Rothey looks goodd though.

Regards

Peter
