Default Kinkell Fishings River Earn

06/06/2006

As of Tuesday morning the river is running quite low, Light showers are forecast for Wednesday but it appears that the weather is to continue being warm and dry for the week thereafter. Now that we are into June it might be worth targeting the sea trout. A little more rain sooner rather than later could liven up prospects.

was out 2 times this week , at comrie and Crieff, not many fish moving despite a decent hatch.I am worried about the amount of what only can be described as gungy c*ap coming down the water. The bottom is already covered in gunk except in fast water. I am also concerned the trout appear to be very few and far between.

After the snow and rain of last week the river is running fairly high cold and clear. Although there has been no reports of fresh salmon being caught there has been several reports of sea trout being caught both on the trinitygask beat and upstream at Kinkell.

After the high coloured water at the weekend the river has now dropped off nicely and is starting to run clear. If we don't get any more rain the river should be in excellent condition for the start of the week.

there has now been 7 fresh fish caught on Kinkell one salmon on the Lochlane beat and one fresh salmon caught at Trinitygask. There has also been several Sea Trout caught recently.

The river is starting to drop off now after running high cold and clear for nearly a week. The weather forecast for the next week is fairly settled so we could see some excellent fishing conditions and hopefully some more fish.

The river is running at an ideal height for the fly and with the weather starting to warm up a little this hopefully will encourage more fish to run. The weather for the next week is fairly settled so we could see some excellent fishing conditions and hopefully some more fish.
