Default Yorkshire esk coloured up

Been on the Esk at Castleton tonight. Now, I fished it last Sat, was still dirty after Fridays thunderstorm. I had only spunners with me; I watched a guy pull out a 3lb sea trout on worm!

Left it several days to clear, fished tonight - its cloudy (silty - like some work is going on upstream, which is the rumour I heard). does anyone know what is causing the colour? It can't be last weeks rain, the Esk drops like Gordon Brown's poll rating after rain. What is going on anyone? PS caught 1 parr!

I fish the esk on occasion. However last season the esk did carry a strange coppery colour all season the view was that it was due to forestry work on the headwaters,,,,

Mate you don't get it, I have fished the Esk 35 years. Last night it looked all muddy and silty like something had distrurbed the river bed.
