Hello mate, send Paul G a message,he's the fella who's in the know about the Don and the other small rivers around Sheffield.Alternatively pop in to Bennets tackle shop and have a word with Tom,he's very helpful.

Join the WTT (or if you are a member already - get a friend to join) and I'll take you on as a guest - guiding service thrown in for nowt. Also - we have a "free to join" angling and conservation club based around the urban river Don in Sheffield. Details on request, video here:

P.S. In case you didn't know I run the "Trout in the Town" urban river restoration programme in the UK (but I live in Sheffield).

PG

paul,
thank you very much for your offer and i will gladly take you up on your deal, just about to log on to the WTT web site to sign up. i will be in touch when i plan my next trip up to yorkshire. i hope to catch up with you then.
i will also look up your angling and conservation club for the don. i often stand looking at the river at the tesco in rotherham when my old mother is shopping and i looks lovely if you can look past the obligatory push bikes and trolleys. thanks again for your really generous offer. regards jon.
