Default our rivers campaign

Everyone who uses this forum should contribute and make their views heard on this: The Water Framework Directive. We all know a lot about the rivers we fish, what the problems are and what could be done to put them right. In theory each river should have 'good ecological status' by 2015. Its up to us to make sure they do.

Arrow Reminder

A reminder that there is just less than a week to reply to the EA's Water Framework Directive consultation, which closes on 22nd June.

trautigan and farmer; sorry mates tried to have a look several times but the website is painfully slow, there is nowhere to register and when you use a prompt the site shows page expired, really most annoying really would like to get involved

been on this website today and registered to adopt my local stream, and looked at some of the comments placed by other people why when there is a real chance like this to make a difference do people post stupid comments, which have been submitted to the EA as a response, its supposed to be limited to matters bought up in the WFD not a place to have a gripe. Its taken any credability away from the site in my opinion, i suppose theres always one!

I've had a go on the site and adopted the bit of the Churnet up here near Cheddleton.

I didn't really find the action plans very easy to follow but I have made a comment about the river local to my area and the problem I think it has.
