Default River Ebbw

A few pics from today and yesterday on the Ebbw.
Yesterday, river low & clear ...... Today, river still quite low, and dirty starting off, though clearing somewhat through the day.

Fished the river today, pulled out a couple on the dries, but spent most of my time watching my fly float over rising fish who just ignored it. LDO coming off, fished a split wing cdc (petitjean) pattern (which a week ago they could not get enough of). But today i was stumped.
They weren't taking the duns, so i assume they were taking the emergers. Got quite close to a few of the risers and i could not see anything on the surface.
Could not find an emerger pattern that they wanted. Notice Bushy made a similiar note in an earlier thread (except he managed to catch them!).

Any suggestions about what was happening and possibly fly choices?

Cheers

Mark
