Default Brown trout river fishing in the Scottish Borders.

Can anyone recommend reasonably priced day ticket waters?
We're going up to stay near Berwick for a week from tomorrow. It's not really a fishing trip, but you know.. if I get the chance .

Hi There,

There is a lot of information here.....

http://www.fishpal.com/Scotland/Twee....asp?dom=Tweed

If you are in Berwick go to the local tackle shop and ask about the Whiteadder.

The chap there fishes it often.

Best Regards

robbie

Curlewcall, If you are in Coldstream call into the newsagents in the High st and you get 6 or 8 miles of fishing on the Tweed for a £10.

There are some very good trout that hardly get fished for in the lower Tweed.

Thanks for the reply sagefly, I'm afraid I'd left before you posted, but it's appreciated and noted for the future.

Nice to meet you Robbie, and thanks for your help. I fished the Whiteadder below Cranshaws, drew a blank, but still enjoyed my day.
There was a considerable hatch of LDO's near Cockburn Mill on the way up, and the little trout by the ford were feasting on them, ( I should have got the rod out then!). Where I fished there were very few signs of fish, and the river was very low. However, late on there were a few fish making very aggresive rises on a flat calm stretch, one fellow of about 8" must have jumped a good three feet clear of the water. I saw some V trails in the film, are there sedge pupae around at this time of year?
