Default Lugg & Arrow

Those of you who fish, or have always wanted to try these wonderful rivers may be interested in the Mowley Valley fishing camp.

Threre is a post in the events section for more details.

Welcome to the Forum, Duffers. In deed they are lovely waters, except when they are swirling around my kitchen!

Smile Lugg and Arrow

Thanks Cranefly - what a friendly bunch you all are!

I will second that! At the Lugg & Arrow Fisheries Association (LAFA) we have been trying to raise cash for exactly the same type of projects that the MFA are doing. We are rather running on their coat tails here but they have been really helpful in getting our own camp off the ground.
The WUF beats on the L&A last year produced over 1,700 fish with the best around 3lbs (well over 90% returned).
I counted over 50 Salmon redds last year on about 5 miles of the Arrow-more than I have ever seen!
So we must be beginning to get something right!

I don't suppose our social will be quite the same as the one on the Monnow, but we have to start somewhere!!

Well best of luck with it... if nobody turns up, Rob and I will come along to take the beer off your hands at a decent price

Thanks TM and the others who have sent messages

OK. We will just have to drink the beer. Eat the steak and watch the Mayfly dancing. Oh! and perhaps do a bit of fishing as well. Tough life!!

Rivers update:
Both low and very clear, approaching summer level. A few fly (LDO) moving the fish middle day. Nothing much rising. A few fish taken on private beats. Passport beats are little used at the moment. Fish in good condition. Nothing much will happen on the top until temp. rises a bit.
