Mick,
You got me started on the rivers so I'm looking forward to joining you on the banks this winter. I might be in touch about a a day at half term, all being well. Perhaps if it is difficult on DRAC waters I might learn more.
I did manage to find some small grayling last time I fished Darley.
Dave,
Thank for your feedback, your blog has been a somewhere I've picked up alot of good Knowledge this year. I also enjoy my coarse fishing and fancy a go at those Triangle tench in the spring.
Fishcake,
I've not tried Eaton yet but must get down there for a look. There's never enough time. I'm hoping to have a trotting session up there soon.
Glen,
I will try the top end at Ellastone, it did look fishy. I like to get out on my own sometimes to work out how to catch. I've learned so much already this year catching most of my fish on dries at DD. Thanks to you and Trugg for couple of killer sedge patterns

Thank you all for the feedback, you've given me enough confidence to get out there and do it, hope to meet some of you out on the bank.

I'm off to Burton on Trent Fly Fair today to get some supplies.

Thanks guys.

Oh what a plonker, just back from a trip over to Ellastone, should have checked the EA site before I set off. Looks like the river has really come up in the last 12 hours, so 0.39m on the gauge and charging through the colour of strong tea.
Fly tying or decorating today methinks.

I would appreciate any first hand reports of the Dove around Eaton/Rocester today, the EA site has it rising again this morning
Regards,
Dave.

Just got back from a walk down there Dave. It's a bit on the high side and coloured up.

Thanks Gary, do you think it will be OK for a bit of trotting by tomorrow afternoon?

Gary, yes, but at Elly; Eaton as you said looked a bit grim. Had a few grayling and a few too many trout.
Regards,
Dave.
