Default Huge catch at Park beat River Dee last week

Reports from Fishdee reporting 96 salmon taken by a party on Park beat Aberdeenshire Dee (all released according to Ghillie). Must have been a beano of a time there.

A fantastic week, certainly. Bear in mind, however, that Park is a big beat and fishes up to 12 rods, so that's an average of 8 fish/rod/week.

If you look at catches on a fish-per-rod basis, Delfur's 70+ last week, as reported on Fishspey, is even more impressive. With only 5 rods, that's 14 fish/rod/week!

Don't want to cause a stir but why do Park not record seperate catch figures for Park and Park South. I guess because the south bank figures are substantially less and the combined total looks better.

Why anyone wishes to fish a double bank beat as 2 single bank beats has me bafflled. With a decent gillie team Park could come close to a Spey beat if properly managed

Interesting comment Willie. What in your opinion makes a good Gillie team? No doubt their guys must be doing something right?

When I was there with clients in August we were greeted by the comment " you are wasting your time far too low" We got 1 and lost 2 but trying to rebuild confidence after that start is not easy.
We never saw the "gillie", I use the term loosely, all day, the banks need cutting, and there are plastic bottles and other rubbish lying around on the banks. The style on Bakebear has been broken all season.

Need I go on?
