Default River Teise, Kent

Anyone have any details on the club that has the trout section? I managed to find it months back with a Google search, but all details now seem to have vanished. When I looked before I was put off by the price and long waiting list, but I'm now a river convert and reckon that however long the waiting list, you only wait longer if you don't put your name on it.

I know there were a couple of bods on the old forum that used to fish it, so any info gratefully received.

Default River Teise

Hi, I wondered if Dave would reply. Dave and I havn't met yet but we share river reports by pm. Agreed it's not easy fishing but the club have a continuous stretch of the river split into 7 beats, getting on for 10 miles of river I would think. The river runs through wonderful Kent countryside, the middle beats are very picturesque and quiet. I live close enough to pop down for an evenings fishing. Spring was good but like most trouting in the UK the heat of July put paid to any useful fishing in July and August. Quite a bit of mayfly about late spring, I caught quite a few off the top, chub as well. I have seen some huge chub and will have a go for these in the Autumn. The club also have a ticket for members to fish out of the trout season for coarse fish on some of the beats. Looking forward to this month and October as some of the pools will become more accessable as the bankside stuff dies down, I reckon daddys will do well. This is my first season so I am learning the river.
