Default River Afan in Port Talbot, South Wales

Does anyone fish the above river for trout? Thinking of giving it a go this season.

Cheers

Mark

Some of the "places" are quite surprising, I've seen herons and dippers in the stretch beside Tesco's car park.

This summer I was waiting for the loser cruiser in the Port Talbot bus station and saw about twenty smallish sea trout hanging around some shopping trollies in the Afan.

Can anyone tell me how to get on the Afon Afan around glyncorrg? Probably too far for a season ticket, but I'd be interested in a day ticket next season...

Mike N. There is no fishing allowed on the river Corrwg because it is a conservation area of the river Afan. However, you can fish from the Afandale bridge downstream provided you have a season/ day permit from the Afan Valley Angling Club. Tickets are available from the Ponds or see Great White's post.
