There have been salmon on the upper reaches since end of may, the river has been at a good level all summer from compensation water, the rain has made no difference to water level, infact when the rain came they turned the taps of at the dam and water level went down.

Default River conditions

Current river conditions etc would be appreciated from forum members in the
upper severn region...Caersws. Hope to get out for a spot of grayling fishing over the weekend.

Hi All

The river at Caersws, is quite high with a lot of dam water in it,so the water will be very cold and it hasn't got over -2 deg C to day

Hi

You could most probably catch a few fish but it wouldn't be at it's best, depends on how far you have to come, if a long way wait untill later in the week.
