Default River Teme

Anyone close enough to the Teme to let me know what the levels are like for the next day or two. It was about 4 or 5 feet up last week and running like Cadbury's Chocolate. ATB, Alan

Hi Alan, if the Lugg is anything to go by it's unfishable. I walked the Lugg this morning and can't believe how it's holding up so much. It's dirty and about 18 inches below the bank. I don't know where the water is coming from. The only thing I can put my finger on, is that every stream, brook and ditch was running red with clay during the last spell of rain. The ground is very wet underfoot too. I dug some potatoes this morning and the soil was soaking.

Currently it's a fine day in Herefordshire, with a high wind which will start to make inroads into the water levels.

Thanks Macsas. Funny really because the Severn at Bewdley had dropped quite a bit yesterday and was fining down to a nice colour. It has been quite a frustrating month, with all this rain and with the end of the trout season getting closer I am beginning to get a bit desperate. Alan

Fished today above Tenbury. river is about 6" up but running clear. had a few including some of the smallest grayling I have ever caught. Nothing to boast about. Trying North Country Spiders and they do seem to attract tiddlers. Alan

Default River Teme Worcester 7/9/2008

Those in the know will recognise the old Eflow Works; now luxury apartments.....totally cut off.

Old Teme Bridge; arches completely submerged.

Looking downstream from New Teme Bridge. The signpost in the middle of the shot is on top of the right hand bank of the river. The strip of green running diagonally from right to left is the flood barrier that was constructed a few years ago.

This is a cattle pass about half a mile from the river.

This is where it's going.

Not sure if it's still rising, I hope not.
