Fished the Agivey today. I have been out a couple of times this year and blanked, but the water looked so perfect I had to give it a throw. It was windy as hell and very sunny for most of the day which made things difficult. I concentrated on pools with plenty of shade. Fished all morning and never touched a fish. Had a couple of knocks from wee trout. Chatted to a few of the locals as I fished throughout the day. Nothing else was being caught that we knew of. Some amazing fly water on this river! Found a really nice pool, practically the width of my 10ft rod and hooked one at last. He put up an amazing fight. Landed him 15 mins later. Safely returned to the water to continue on his way.

how much is a day on the agivey?

Cheers. It's £20. i'd probably leave it until it gets another flood. fish seem to be few and far between.
