Default River trout fishing nr Cambridge

I'm under pressure from my wife to take her to Cambridge for a weekend. Is there any river trout fishing nearby suitable for a couple of hours one evening?

Help welcomed!!

Regards

Peter

Hi Peter

Afraid there isn't much around as far as river fishing goes I'm afraid. There is my club near Audley End, but that's about 25 mins away by car - this is club water, but you could google John Brownbridge, Audley Flyfishers and give him a call.

I think the Cam at Grantchester Meadows is free to fish - no trout in there (as far as I know) but I have met chaps chasing the dace and chub on the fly.

Thought so, thanks anyway. I will build up the brownie points by going shopping, sightseeing etc then I'll cash them in when we go to Wales!!

Regards

Peter

Good plan. Actually, I'm in Wales now. Having a sniff around those tempting Wye and Usk waters.

Cheers
