Question Wallington/Wansbeck advice?

Hi All,

I have a possible visit up to Wallington (near Morpeth) in Northumberland in late June and was wondering what kind of fishing I could find find that way, the closer to Wallinton Hall the better. I believe the Wansbeck is close by and have heard good things about it. Any advice on day permits, river stretches, where to go etc would be great!

Thanks

Go to the tackle shop in Morpeth, it's off the car-park behind the bus station. They will give you all the advice you need on what to use and where to fish. There is a Wansbeck club which had fly only water between Morpeth and Mitford which used to be good, I don't know if its still available. Some good fly fishing using traditional spiders and wets.
