Hi Carlos,
Barton Court has about 3.5 miles of carrier and main river to choose from-so plenty of choice!Personally I prefer the carriers, especially the weir type pools,a gold head mayfly nymph should be good soon,or a dry in the calmer runs. It's crystal clear so a stealthy approach with drab clothing is a must, and a 2-4 wt rod around 8-9ft will suffice.
Have fun.

When did you last visit Barton Court?

I fished there very recently. The water wasnt crystal clear, in fact it was a bit coloured. There was almost no weed, and I didn't see any ranunulous at all. Some of the carriers are very attractive, others are quite silty. The owner has done some work on one of the stretches to improve the flow. I have fished the kennet for the last ten years and never seen the river so high (not surprising given the wet winter) but still some carriers were uninviting and if the current water cant clean the gravels, probably nothing will

The river is heavily fished - there were seven other anglers when I was there on a midweek day - some of whom had no understanding of chalkstream etiquette and one guy even walked past me and started casting 10 meters upstream of me!! With no beat system in place I guess a degree of unsporting behaviour is to be expected

And sadly despite some fair hatches, I didnt see a fish rise all day (although this isnt a problem exclusive to Barton Court by any means), except one to my dry olive pattern on the top stretch. Many fish were lying still and deep so heavy nymphs essential

Not classic chalkstream fishing , but a day ticket is relatively cheap and it is well stocked with lots of trout in the water and if they are inclined to feed you should have some action. I know the water gets a VERY good mayfly
