Underwood, Do not worry too much about the catches being made now they are not an indication of what you can expect in the backend.
Pray for low water until a fortnight before your trip, then a good flood through to clean the water up and get the fish interested and then a couple of days before you go hope for a small rise so that you can fish on the water as it drops back.
You will have the opportunity to catch or be caught by the big greyback fish that almost always top 20lbs going over 30lb as well.
You will have a great trip, don't panic speycasting is all about steady timing and not forcing the cast, fish a comfortable length line and you will do fine.
