Hi Mark,
The Taff was up around a foot more than I would have liked, though clearing quickly.
The Rhymney I should think would be fine, it seems to drop a lot quicker than the Taff or Ebbw.

Just down the valley a little...Saturday was fantastic on the USK whilst the river was rising just a couple inches... Small sedge (Grannom) are trickling off along with the sporadic hatches of olives... A bit of rain and wind is helping keep the hatches on...

Sunday was blown out with the river up and running brown. Monday the river was settling , clearing fast but still with colour but on its way back down, probably up a couple foot...

Monday fish were taking fly from the surface again, but, still a bit of water to run off, clearing nicely..

Tuesday,(today) a fairer day with sunshine but strong winds... I popped out for an hour ont Usk , fooled a fair few fishies on dries, Good water level but still a few inches to clear for real good fishing... Wooley buggers still getting hit hard but fish have bellies full of worms no doubts...

Wednesday will be a good day for the streams no doubts if you are planning on fishing.... My favourite stream which is very much like the Rhym has just cleared and is fishing well so I am thinking perhaps the rhymney will be in good shape this week although it can rise very fast as Im sure you are well aware of... One minute you could be fishing a gin clear stream, and in no time
you could find yourself fishing a thick chocolate river..

Hope you got out..Have fun if your going
Cheers
