Hi all looking for some help, I live in the village of llansantffraid, and there is a couple of lovely stretches of the River Vyrnwy around me, I would love to have a crack at, but no idea who owns them or where I can get the info on who does. There is a public footpath running down to one side would this mean its a public free stretch.

THere are some wierd syndicates that operate much of the Vrynwy. This might not sound too helpful CG but honestly, your best bet will be to go and knock on a few doors. There is some cracking fishing to be had up there - go on, be brave!

internet trawling has found me one 2 mile stretch owned by waen farm a little further down stream. It is the actual bit in the village under the bridge that looks tempting ,I cant seem to find any info on it.Or have any idea what sort of fish it may be holding. The thought of just popping 100 yds out of my front door in the summers evening is very appealing. All fish will be returned I must add.

PIB the only reason I had maybe a hope it was a free stretch was the fact I grew up in Newtown and all the river running through the park and centre of town was free stretch. It was a hope I had but wouldnt have gone on without finding out first. Hence the thread.
