Default River Clyde

thinking of trying the river clyde this year for some brownies i have been scanning internet and i see its run by 2 organisations the upper clyde , and the lamington section was wondering if anybody has fished one or both sections . I have started tying small spiders in 14/16 sizes for the rivers for upcoming season (they work well on my local river ) and hoped they would work up there. i see lamington have put permits up for the season to £40 and i cant find prices for upper clyde either way still good value for money anyway. So if anybody has suggestions for places to fish , which permit is best value , flies etc.

thanks in advance

steve j

Clyde fished exceptionally well last season but it's always been a cyclical river so IMHO there is no guarantee of an even better season this year but then again you never know.
