Default River Ecclesbourne near Turnditch - DCAC

Anybody ever fished this section of the Ecclesbourne or know what it is like - Derby County Angling Club's 1 mile stretch? Does it have any Grayling, etc.

Think I will give it a go later in the year

Default Fishing the Ecclesbourne

I used to fish a stretch lower down (near the pub at Hazelwood), and had some browns - these were stocked fish though.
A long stretch of it from Alton Manor through Idridgehay (think that's about right) is owned by a small syndicate who stock with browns (that's a guess as to where the fish I caught came from).
Never had any grayling.
what stretch do you get to fish with a day ticket from the Railway Inn ? Is it the Ecclesbourne? I've always assumed it was, but never done it.
I'm looking forward to fishing the new DCAC stretch when the season opens - intend to take a look at it before then, and if I remember, will take the camera and post some pics.

Tag,

Have you fished the stretch that is covered by the DRAC ticket??

By the way, i've joined DCAC for this season so you can give me some pointers on their waters....hopefully !!

Haven't bumped into you at Eaton Dovedale Farm for a while, have you been fishing it much over the winter? I've had a couple of good sessions down there,

G.

Jesus..... did they ever make a film in the 1970's called "Confessions of a Postman" ??? If not then the script's here !!!!

But anyway, I take it that its not a bad little river/stream.

My big wish........................
If only Derbyshire County did day tickets for venues like the Ecclesbourne, or limited memebrships confined to 1 water like the Ecclesbourne. Some of us have limited funds available for memberships, and wouldn't want to fish all the waters that they offer. Small rivers and brooks - fly fishing nirvana!
