Default Trout and Salmon at Norbury Weir

Wandered down to Norbury weir to find Glen peering over the fence at the salmon and trout trying to make their way up the weir. Glen was eating a salmon and cucumber sandwich when I arrived and was tucking an eight foot spinning rod under the hedge

I had my new camera with me and in true bloke fashion I hadn't read the instruction leaflet I just about knew which end to look through but Glen got it on the right setting for me and between us we took some snaps.

We thought that some of the Staffs/Derbys lads would be interested in seeing these. There were some cracking brownies trying to make their way upstream.

Quality Gary!!
Just having salmon steaks with jacket potato.. Bloody sick of eating it!!

Some amazing shots we took there, love the one of the brown with it's fin up..
Just goes to show they can take a real battering when hitting that weir..

More water and we might see the 20lbers!! I know people say they are bad for the river and I don't know enough on that scale of things buts it's a pleasure to watch..
Nice one

Hi Paul,

It's a canon EOS1000D. I bought it second hand from Ebay but from a local seller so i could have a look at it before I handed over any cash

I like that picture too and I wouldn't mind catching that fish either

Of course as everybody know that weir does not stop brown trout moving upstream...
