Default Leigh Brook

Do any of you GFC (past or present ) members have any experience of fishing the above for grayling ?

I'm a new member of the club and as Leigh Brook is quite near to me, I wouldn't mind giving it a bash . The GFC website seems to suggest that it is o.k. to fish the brook for grayling - is that correct?

I appreciate that the numbers of grayling may not be huge but any help or advice would be gratefully received

thank you

Dan

Dan,
I Have never fished for Grayling my self at Leigh Brook so I am in no position to tell you whether you are likely to catch any. I dont see any reason why you should try though. If you are in any doubt give the club secretary a call.
Good Luck and please let me know how it goes.

Frank

Hi Dan
The Leigh Brook does have grayling in it but they are neither large nor plentiful. I think you would find the experience frustrating. The Leigh fishes well early season for brownies. There are plenty in there. Keep your powder dry. If you are after grayling on the GFC waters, I would try either the Clun, the Monnow, or conditions permitting, the Dore.

It will be touch and go as to whether it is fishable tomorrow Dan. I would have thought that wednesday, possibly thursday will be more realistic options.
