Does anybody know if it's still possible to get day tickets for the Wooler and Doddington stretch of the Till?
I used to fish there some years ago and I'm hoping to go back there this year.

Not sure about that particular stretch but the Ford and Etal Estate issue day tickets for the Redscar beat near Milfield, and I think tickets are still available from West Fenton Farm for the Lambton Estate water at Fenton.

Thanks, I fished the cheap ford stretch (I don't know if you can call it a beat), the one where you get day tickets from Ford post office, some years ago and I found it wasn't really suitable for fly fishing. The private beats are probably out of my price range.
The Wooler and Doddington section used to be full of grayling and brown trout and I saw salmon and sea trout on every visit but I only once caught a sea trout there. It was wild and challenging but most enjoyable.
