Default Sixmile season ticket?

Could someone tell me if the Season ticket for the sixmile water is time restricted like the day tickets, leaving the best fishing hours for members only. Thanks for any replies.

As far as I know if you are a season ticket holder you can fish it any time of day.
If you are a season ticket holder does that not mean you are also a club member?

You can only fish until 11.30 pm and you can't fish on Sundays. Stupid, I know.

It depends on how far you want to travel. The Moyola is 45 minutes up the motorway in light traffic. It's an excellent club. I think it's around £45 for your first year to become a full member. they have small get togethers (competitions - but no one takes them too seriously) every month. It's good craic. PM me if you need more details. I usually fish the Ballinderry but it has lots of clubs on it and it's out of the way and a bit confusing knowing where you can fish with a certain ticket. If you after trout there's a few good rivers about. The Upper Bann can be good, I hear. Upper Lagan also.

What do you want to fish for?

No, i have not applied to become a member! I was led(maybe incorrectly) to believe the waiting list was years long requiring a lot of deaths to happen.I am new to fly fishing on rivers, I tried the sixmile last year a couple of times last year.I wanted to try a season ticket this year so i could just pop up at anytime for a couple of hours.I was also impressed with the photos on this forum of dollaghen caught. These all seemed to be caught in the dark in the small hours.Hence my original enquiry.

You are correct in that there is a several years waiting list to become a member. I was not aware that a season ticket did not class you as a member, I thought that there was a long waiting list list for season tickets/memberships. Live and learn guys.
The rivers are something I myself would like to give a try this year.

Wayne.

You can still catch the Dollaghan. A lot of the Dollaghan in photo's you seen were caught by non club members that had a season ticket. I'm getting a season ticket this year, I think it is good enough as it's close to Belfast.
