Default NW Wales

Hi all, im a newbie to salt water flyfishing in uk, and wondered if their was any kind person who could give me some pointers on NW Wales ?
I go there the end of this month(sept) staying nr Pwllheli,Gwynedd. with my wife and her father who would love to go if he's able as he's never fished before... (but i'm patient, and a decent teacher, although i say it myself )

As well as SWFF, i personally, would like to try my luck for salmon or sea trout, either estuary or river, as i believe there is a late run around there in NWvWelsh rivers around Gwynedd, Seiont,Dwyfawr,Glaslyn,Dwryrd,Ogwen ?

I know most of these 'local secrets' can be closely guarded, and therefore would welcome any PM's and agree in advance to keep them confidential.
Although new to SWFF in Uk, i'm not new to the sport and if anyone wants advice on SWFF in 'warmer waters' , i have travelled a bit and not secretive about sharring.... ask and ye shall recieve...
Thanks in advance
Nick

The Dwyfor can be good for salmon if there is water towards the end of the season - as it was last year - but you need floods to bring salmon in otherwise you see lots of fish around Christmas time and fresh ones too. The Mawddach and Wnion can often have good runs of salmon in mid September but again - water dependent. The Ogwen had over 400 salmon recorded last year - but again it is a spate river. The Seiont usually does well in their extension again if there is water. No water - you might as well put your rods away - river fishing that is. Sea fishing off the shore has on the whole been poor this year unless you want to join the locals pulling out small bass with the odd good one off the Bridge in Porthmadog in the dark with live shrimp.
