Looks familiar, where is that Malcolm? Looks like a SDAC yellow sign on the tree - is it on the Nadder? Am I allowed to ask if the Nadder is coloured at the moment

What was my topic again?

I'll check tonight and let you know if it's coloured Greendrake, I'm guessing it will be as it rained heavily but that photo was taken yesterday afternoon after some heavy rain and the river was in perfect condition. I hadn't seen the river in such condition for a long time, a really healthy flow but good and clear.

muahaha

Malcolm,

How is the water on the Wylye at present? I fish near the Langfords and will be home in a week or so.

Nadder and Wylye a little coloured but not much, suprised by the nadder still being clear but there you go

----edit----

Lost, one scottish fly fisherman, last seen bravely heading up the Nadder. Please inform the police if anybody happens to come across him, do not approach if alone, subject is armed with a new rod and about 5dozen flies. - that said the last I saw of him he was depleting his stock in a certain hawthorn tree

The nettles, well the ones on the S&DAC paths at Wilton are busily being strimmed by yours truly, The grasses, reeds, thistles and flowers in the meadows REALLY are that tall though. The farmer will be cutting it for hay soon though, it's at about the height of its growth now.

Cut in may, have to cut again another day
Cut in June, much too soon
Cut in July, it'll be sure to die...

A keepers motto for nettle cutting, well its something like that anyway
