Default grayling in the Cotswolds

Hi
First time on the forums here. Anyway, I'm visiting family at the southern end of the Cotswolds over Christmas. If I can get a ticket, I'm thinking of a day's grayling fishing on the Coln, likely the Bull hotel stretch, as access seems relatively easy and I know where it is, which helps.

Can anyone comment on how that stretch is fishing so far this winter?

Cheers
James

Hi James,

Fished and guided the stretch a few days so far this winter. Plenty of fish about, but be prepared to move around. Some of the deep holes down stream hold good fish.

Tight Lines

Thanks for the replies. I'll check out the various options between now and Christmas, though it still looks as if the Bull stretch is my easiest choice. Not sure about flies. I'm guessing smallish nymphs of various types, as well as something like a red wulff if anything is rising.
