Hi Splash

Walk it regular with my dog as I live near the Plough, I've walked up through the cow fields towards Trowell then conducted a bread chase - throw pieces of bread in and follow downstream as stealthily as possible, over gates and fences can prove difficult but you could be surprised, large Chub were sucking down the bread like a Dyson, at the end of Mill Rd (Manor Chippy stretch). Now for a more definate chance go along Sandiacre canal towards LE and just next to the Dockholme entrance off Bennett Street is and arched Iron bridge that takes you to ASDA. Downstream of the bridge holds big Chub and Barbel although it can prove difficult letting loads of line out to drift between the trees or finding gaps in the trees, especially at this time of year.

Good luck in your quest and if I can help in anyway, I will.

Mick
