Default First fly caught grayling

Today I fished the Don with Woz. It's our second trip to the river, the first, for me, having been fruitless.
Today I cracked it! Not one but two Ladies of the Stream.
The reason for our success was that we were using a method of short lining which Woz had neen taught by John Tyzak on the Welsh Dee, using a long braided leader and a tricolour indicator.
This proved to be a very sensitive set up which gave me a first.
Another first was that I fell in much to Woz's amusement.
I think Woz ended up with four, including a cracking fish of one and a half pounds and the smallest grayling ever of about two and a half inches! [img][/img] [img][/img]

For some reason the photos don't appear, but if you click on the 'img' link they should open.

Well done WW, nothing like a first, any pics of you swimming, I could do with a good laugh.

No, fortunately. Woz was a bit slow getting his phone out. He's gone a bit quiet just now. I think he's playing with photoshop trying to frame me.

Oh, I stand corrected. My excuse was that I wasn't there on the Dee.

Merci, monsieur L'homme. I like your cameo picture, small fish and olive or large fish and mayfly?
