Unhappy Grafham from the bank - worth a trip?

At this time of year I usually start considering a day of bank fishing at Grafham. As this normally consists of several hours of casting, the odd moment of 'was that a tug? maybe not', and often no fish, I wondered if anyone has been down there recently and could share any tips.

Worth a trip, or should I keep me twelve quid for somthing else?

Cheers

[ah, ****, just posted this in the river bit - you would have thought I would have noticed the difference between a ressie and a river by now. sorry admin]

Hi fished grafham last monday and weds from a boat, good fishing on monday, bloody hard on weds caught ziltch , most of the fish were out of bank fishing range, the only areas that fish were close enough to give you a chance were , the stumps and the south end of the dam wall, hope this helps
