River is suffering from lack of water usually you get a few floods at the end of May which cleans up the river which didnot happen this year.Blazing sunshine made it hard work during the day although the nymphs did produce some fish ,early mornings like 6pm on the river bank and late evenings and nights upto midnight were the best times . It is advisable to arrange entry into a private party in the pub if fishing until very late as you would murder a pint of the black stuff after fishing .All in all we had sixteen in the group ,the craic was great and the fishing if not spectacular was well above average
but as previously said you had to fish to suit the weather not the pub

Another fabulous trip to the Suir. The trick was to fish either small beadhead nymphs or tiny dry midge patterns in the slack water under the shade of trees. No monsters but some hard fighting wild brownies. Like the man says, early or late is best but we still managed a few during the day.
Great craic and steaks to die for.

We're getting that rain right now - ye should try the Nore next time, better river IMHO..
