Default River Nadder

I've fortunately been invited to join some clients on the Nadder at the Hurdcott Estate (wooohoo! Friday out of the office and getting paid to fish!!!)

Does anyone have any fly recommendations or tips for this stretch?

I think it's going to rain over the next few days so it could also be carrying some colour or extra water.

Any advice most welcome.

Kind regards

Rob

Fished the Nadder this afternoon. Water somewhat coloured, not that many fish moving on wild stretches. Hurdcott stocked with Rainbows I think so will behave somewhat differently to the wild browns.

If you have any cdc&elk's they work very well throughout the year, if not, take a bunch of the usual suspects, browns, blacks and greens work well. If it's going to rain take along some small black nymphs (weighted), some ptn's and some scruffy hares ears.

Cheers Malcolm. You pretty much confirmed my choice. I'd much rather be trying for the wildies but a free day fishing is a free day fishing. I'll see if I can winkle a few out amongst the alien invaders.

Many thanks

Rob
