Default Yorkshire Esk - Danby

Anybody fished the Yorkshire Esk on the Danby and District Angling Club water recently. I used to fish there years ago but was wondering if it's worth trying again for a change.

Cheers folks.

Default Yorkshire Esk - Danby

In my experience of fishing the Esk, should there be a good spate, then both the salmon and the sea trout do tend to run through to the Dnaby and Castleton areas to have a rest and find a good pool. There are now plenty of well improved stretches on the Danby AC water, banks cleaned and groynes put in.
It would be a good choice to re-join if there are places, I know that it has become very popular and tickets are sort after.

Thanks for the reply,

I was thinking more of the brownies than the silver tourists though...I didn't think the tickets were hard to get. I paid £15 at the post office in April when I was out on my sidecar outfit for a ride - that was for the season!! Haven't fishe it yet though, hence the post. May risk it tomorrow if the day is fair and we don't get anymore rain.
